Velveteen Queen
Velveteen Queen from Gothenburg finally releases their long-awaited debut album "Consequence of the City" in English.
Recorded at the prestigious CreHate Studios in Gothenburg, known for iconic records by bands like In Flames, The Halo Effect, Crash Diet, and Hank Von Hell, the album promises a blend of raw, classic sounds reminiscent of late 80s and early 90s rock music. Drawing much inspiration from iconic rock legends like Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, and Velvet Revolver, the band brings their own twist to the genre.
Velveteen Queen comprises five talented young musicians in their twenties who have quickly carved out a niche in the industry with their energetic live performances and a sound that appeals to fans of classic rock. Despite only releasing a handful of singles on their own label VLVTN Sound, the band has already graced several major festivals in Sweden, toured with Nestor, and opened for renowned acts such as Hardcore Superstar.
Excitement mounts as Velveteen Queen gears up for a busy year ahead, including performances at the Sweden Rock Festival alongside legends like Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, and Megadeth. The band will also open for Mammoth WVH in June and embark on their first European tour in the fall, covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and more.
The album features ten tracks, including "Stranger in a Mirror," where Velveteen Queen collaborated with some well-known musicians such as Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd) on keyboards, Ryan Roxie (Alice Cooper) on guitar, and Mats Leven (Yngwie Malmsteen, Vandenberg) on backing vocals.
