Judas Priest
JUDAS PRIEST
Judas Priest is a British heavy metal band formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England. The band is considered one of the most influential and prominent acts in the heavy metal genre, with a successful career spanning several decades.
The band's early years saw some lineup changes, but its core consisted of vocalist Rob Halford, guitarists K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer John Hinch. They released their debut album, Rocka Rolla, in 1974, which had a more blues-influenced style. However, it was with the 1976 album Sad Wings of Destiny that Judas Priest began to establish their signature heavy and melodic sound.
