DAVID URWITZ

In some circles, David Urwitz is almost an institution, while in others, he is completely unknown. He has long been called Scandinavia’s best-kept secret, and there is some truth to that statement. This year marks 20 years since David debuted with the album "Det var väl inget mer med det", which received glowing reviews, including top ratings from the newspaper Göteborgs-Posten.

Over the years, David has regularly released albums and toured across Sweden and Norway. In Norway, he had a massive hit with the song "Hos mig". In Sweden, he has collaborated and toured with artists such as Peter LeMarc, Caroline af Ugglas, and Eldkvarn.

Urwitz operates within an indie singer/songwriter tradition. His songs often depict a sense of longing—he is as much a storyteller as a musician. His music carries a touch of melancholy, yet hope always shines brightly.
