Cat Power, aka Chan Marshall, is an incredible master when it comes to the ability to interpret others, which she previously demonstrated numerous times during her career on albums such as 'Jukebox' and 'The Covers Record'. On the new album, she has chosen a diverse group of songs, both classics and more modern creations, from Frank Ocean's ("Bad Religion") and Lana Del Rey's ("White Mustang") to timeless songs such as Iggy Pop's ("Endless Sea") and Nick Cave's (“I Had A Dream Joe”). 'Covers' also includes an updated version of her own song "Hate" from 2006 and the album is entirely produced by Cat Powers herself. 'Covers' are also released in a special edition as gold colored vinyl.
